JUNE is Adopt-A-Cat Month
At Noah’s Ark, staff and volunteers work tirelessly to care for cats and kittens, and to find them loving homes. You can help! Join us this June to celebrate the American Humane Association’s Adopt-A-Cat Month. Adopt a cat yourself, volunteer your time, or make a donation to Noah’s Ark. Whatever you do will enrich your life – and the lives of hundreds of homeless cats.
Meet Elsa! She’s Purrrrfect!
Elsa, a healthy 5 year old purebred Ocicat has the most beautiful spotted shiny coat. With no space to romp around because there were too many cats in her home, Elsa and her kitty friend were surrendered to Noah’s Ark. Elsa was a bit terrified in the shelter atmosphere, so she was placed into foster care. In her new environment she was a little cautious, however, warmed up in no time and has become very affectionate. This sweet girl really enjoys curling up with you and purrs contently while you pet her.
Elsa has been only part of an adult home and really thrives in this environment. She enjoys the company of another cat and misses her friend - she best to be with just one playmate. This playful and talkative kitty is looking for a home to call her own. Please consider adopting Elsa and making her a precious part of your family. Please call the shelter at (973) 347-0378 to make an appointment to meet Elsa.
Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association Inc. received approximately 15 dogs from several puppy mills. These dogs were saved from substandard conditions by Mill Dog Rescue . Noah’s Ark works in cooperation with regional rescue groups to give deserving pets a chance at a happy new life. Puppy mills are commercial operations that breed dogs strictly for profit. Dogs housed in these facilities receive minimal care and no human contact. The plight of puppy mills recently has received national media attention. Stop by, the dogs are available for adoption !
