Current Volunteer Opportunities

Do you have a few hours a week or a month to help the animals at Noah's Ark? We have volunteer opportunities all through the week, including Wednesday evenings and weekends. We're looking for volunteers to come in and help us walk the dogs and cuddle the cats. If you would prefer to help outside the shelter, we need your help with writing articles for our newsletter, manage canister placement and collections, our upcoming community outreach, staff and coordinate supply drives, sell raffle tickets, solicit corporate donations, promote membership drives and staff our signature events.

Create Custom paper Valentines

Each dog and cat up for adoption will have their picture on a paper valentines and placed onto our Shelter’s Valentine’s Wall.

What You Will Need:

- Paper

- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils

- Picture of adoptable dog or cat from Noah’s Ark found on www.noahsarknj.org

- Click on Pets for Adoption click on view adoptable dogs and puppies or cats and kittens.

- Use your imagination to create colorful Valentine. Make as many and as often as you like. The Valentines Wall will be on display at the shelter during the month of February!

- Please leave the back of the Valentine blank – the shelter manager will be writing in “wish list” items for each animal

- Once completed, bring the Valentine to the shelter located at 1915 Route 46 West, Ledgewood, NJ 07852

Retrieve and return messages from home! Give information about participating vets and mail referral cards to callers. Only takes a few minutes to do. We are looking for a spay/neuter hotline volunteer. This only takes one day and you can make your own hours! Please fill out the online volunteer application below.

Noah’s Ark is looking for a volunteer Humane Educator. As the Humane Educator you will present animal care and the important concepts and trends in humane education to local schools and organizations. The programs are for all ages and teach pet responsibility and encourage the special bond between humans and animals. Please fill out the online volunteer application below.
